ABOUT

Steve Bowling started restoring and refinishing antique furniture in 1978, the same year he became a B-52G Electronic Warfare Officer (EW).  The name of his restoration business is derived from the nickname 'Old Crow' that the military gives to EWs.  He has been restoring and refinishing antiques ever since and is constantly adding to the items that he enjoys restoring.  For example, since moving to Huntsville in 2013, Steve has taught himself how to restore and repair antique pendulum clocks.

After leaving the USAF in 1983, Steve spent the next 35 years in the defense industry.  He recently exchanged that career to work at what has become a passion - restoring clocks and antiques.  Steve gets a deep sense of accomplishment and is motivated by putting new life into old things, and especially enjoys adding value to a piece that is a family heirloom.

While Steve is helping to ensure that clients' heirlooms will last for future generations, clients' funds are supporting Blood:Water, a faith-based organization who works with African partners to address the water crisis in sub-Saharan Africa. They identify Africa’s hidden heroes and come alongside their vision for change. They provide financial, technical, and organizational support so that African leaders and organizations have expanded reach and effectiveness in the communities they serve.

Olde Crow Antique Restorations is a member of: the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC); an Associate Member of The British Horological Institute, Ltd.; and, the Antiquarian Horological Society. Olde Crow Antique Restorations is also an Authorized Howard Miller/Ridgeway Service Center.
